About Me

Hi my name is Danielle Gordon-Martin. I am a freshman at Penn State University. I am from Malvern, Pennsylvania which is about 45 minutes from Philadelphia. My family is originally from Kingston, Jamaica. My parents were both born and raised in Kingston and as a child I would stay there for months during the summer. I am very proud to be Jamaican and I always let it be known to everyone. I have one younger brother and sister. They are both pretty crazy kids but they're fun to be around... sometimes.

I am a pretty quiet and chill person. It's not that I don't like talking, I just am more of an observer. I can spend a whole day sitting on my porch people watching and enjoy myself. Once you get to know me, I'll talk some more and there'll be times when you can't shut me up!

I like to watch sports especially basketball and I have been a Los Angeles Lakers fan ever since I was little. I do NOT like Miami Heat fans. They are very annoying to me and a lot of them are what I call "bandwagon fans". They never liked the Miami Heat until Lebron James decided to sign with that team. I don't have a problem with the Miami Heat team, its just their fans.. no. Just no. I also have been playing the guitar for almost 8 years. I really like playing the guitar because it's a way for me to escape from reality a bit and just do what I do best, which is playing music. I also love listening to music. I love any kind of music except country. I'm not a big fan of country music but they're some songs that I enjoy.

I am looking forward to getting to know the people in my class and reading their blogs. I hope that I leave this semester with a lot more knowledge on the arts at Penn State and different ways to express myself through writings.
